National Picture Theatre, Beverley Road - survey

Thursday, 17th September 2020

Hull City Council, in collaboration with the National Civilian World War II Memorial Trust (NCWW2MT), secured a first stage National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) grant in June 2019. This grant will allow the Council and the Trust to develop plans

to conserve and repair the Grade II listed remains of the bombed former cinema. The plans include the facade being stabilised and restored, heritage features will be restored and the space where the auditorium stood will be used to create a flexible

space to hold events and activities. There will also be an education centre and war memorial. The site will then be opened to the public, and enable future generations to learn about the life of civilians in the second world war.

These questions will help us with the stage 2 funding bid to help make the conservation of the theatre a reality and understand your future interest in the site as a visitor and / or becoming a member or a volunteer.

The deadline is 30 September so please take some time to complete it ahead of the deadline - it should only take 5-10 minutes of your time.
