Sidney Smith Lecture in Labour History

Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation (WISE) announces,
the Alderman Sidney Smith Lecture in Labour History
This annual lecture in labour history, last given in the late 1980s, is an annual event associated with WISE.
The speaker is Seymour Drescher, Distinguished Professor of History and Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh who will speak on:
Slave labour versus free labour from antiquity to the twentieth century
On Thursday 10th June 2010 at 6.00 pm in the Allam Lecture Theatre, Esk Building on the West Campus, HU67RX.
All are welcome and there will be refreshments served after the lecture.
